Explanation:

The Police Department seeks to purchase a Lenco BearCat G3 armored vehicle. Lenco BearCat is an armored vehicle that offers protection in dangerous scenarios, including active shooter, barricaded suspects, response and rescue, and high-risk warrants. The armored vehicle is being procured by piggybacking the General Services Administration purchasing agreement.

 

This is a replacement of existing equipment that has reached the end of its useful life. 

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for this purchase is available in the FY 2025 Operating Budget in account number 557.209901.519.564520.001761.000.000.
