Explanation:
Certain routine and periodic budgetary adjustments and transfers are appropriate and necessary.
Operational requirements necessitate certain revisions to the Adopted Fiscal Year 2014 Budget to provide necessary funding for certain programs contained in the Special Programs Fund (Fund 11).
Upon the approval of the City Commission the adopted FY 2014 Operating Budget shall be amended to reflect the inclusion of the Seminole Tribe contract which provides fire rescue and protection services to the Reservation. The contract is for $300,000 annually a portion of which is paid on a monthly basis. Per the agreement these revenues can be used to fund capital improvements and equipment needed by the Department of Fire-Rescue and Beach Safety as detailed in the attached Exhibit A to the proposed Resolution.
