On October 25, 2024, Glisset Martinez filed a civil action against the City seeking damages arising out of a trip and fall accident involving a City-owned sidewalk that occurred on May 21, 2021 (Broward County Circuit Court Case Number CACE-24-014512). The City Attorney and Glisset Martinez’s attorney have negotiated a settlement in the amount of $60,000.00.
This Resolution seeks approval to negotiate a settlement with Glisset Martinez in the amount of $60,000.00.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this settlement is available in the City’s self-insurance fund.
