Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached Resolution.

Explanation:

The City of Hollywood is approving the ranking of firms that submitted proposals to operate an Adult Day Care Program at the Oak Lake Community Center, serving individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.

An RFQ was issued on July 22, 2025, and two firms submitted proposals: Easter Seals South Florida, Inc. and Aiding With Care Health Services, Inc.

On September 22, 2025, the Selection Committee evaluated and ranked the firms based on qualifications, methodology, experience, and financial stability.

Easter Seals South Florida, Inc. received the highest score (90.63) and was ranked first, followed by Aiding With Care Health Services, Inc. (66.00).

The program will provide structured daily activities for participants and respite care for caregivers. The City will provide a rent-free facility as part of the agreement.

If negotiations fail with the highest-ranked firm, the City may proceed to negotiate with the next-ranked firm.

Fiscal Impact:

There is a companion resolution that will accept and allocate grant funding for the operation of an Adult Day Care program at Oak Lake Community Center in an amount up to $249,109.00.
