Explanation:
The City of Hollywood is under a Consent Order with the Florida Department of Health - Broward County that requires the City to adopt a Cross-Connection Control ordinance by December 31, 2015.
This Ordinance complies with the requirements of the Consent Order regarding the adoption of a Cross-Connection Control ordinance; and as a result of the creation of a new subchapter of Chapter 51 herein, Section 51.015 of the Code of Ordinances, which deals with the same subject, is no longer needed and should be repealed.
The new Subchapter establishes minimum requirements for the cross-connections and the prevention of backflow into the public potable water supply system within the City.
