Explanation:
The Technical Trades Division of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all the City's HVAC and air conditioning units. It is their responsibility to replace, maintain and service all the HVAC units and to check to see they are operating in an efficient and effective manner.
On May 13, 2021 the desired services were competitively bid by Sourcewell pursuant to RFP#070121, and the term of the contract is from October 7, 2021 through August 12, 2025. Sourcewell subsequently entered into an agreement with Carrier Global Corporation for the repair, maintenance and service of HVAC systems.
On October 7, 2021, Sourcewell awarded the bid to Carrier Global Corporation and have agreed to extend to the City of Hollywood the same pricing under the terms and conditions set forth in the contract. The 2021 Piggyback contract is from October 7, 2021 through August 12, 2025 with a one-year renewal term.
The Director of Public Works and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City officials to issue a purchase order to Carrier Global Corporation, for the repair, maintenance and service of HVAC systems from October 7, 2021 through August 12, 2025 subject to vendor acceptance, satisfactory performance and the determination that renewal will be in the best interest of the City, for an annual amount up to $144,840.00.
