Staff Recommends: Approval of the Attached Resolution

Explanation:
The City Approved Resolution R-2014-220 and agreements between the School Board and the Seminole Tribe of Florida ("Tribe") to install an eight (8) feet high privacy wall along the west side of North 64th Avenue between Charleston Street and Oak Street. This wall will restrict road connectivity to the neighborhood and the Quest School, thereby requiring the City to re-establish road access along the west side of North 64th Avenue between the proposed wall and the west properties.
Plans and specifications for the 64th Avenue road access project were prepared by City staff and on September 15, 2014 notifications of the 64th Avenue project was legally advertised on the City's website as well as DemandStar.Com in accordance with the City's Purchasing Ordinance, Section 38.42(A)(1).

Bids were opened at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, and resulted in the following ten (10) responses listed in the attached Bid Tabulation.

City staff has reviewed all bids submitted and determined the bid submitted by JMS Construction Services, Inc. to be the lowest responsive and responsible bid, and therefore, recommends award of the contract in the amount of $206,983.00.
