Explanation:
The Public Utilities Department ("Department") owns and maintains the City's complex stormwater system that includes catch basins, drainage pipes, exfiltration trenches, outfalls, swales, retention ponds, and stormwater pump stations.
The Department has the responsibility for planning, regulating, designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining the water, wastewater, and stormwater systems within the City's utility service area.
The Department of Public Utilities ("Department") followed the procedures established in the Florida Statue 287.055, Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act ("CCNA"), and the City's Procurement Ordinance to advertise for statement of qualifications to select an engineering consulting firm to provide engineering design, management, and construction services related to:
1. Implementing the Long-Term Stormwater Capital Improvements projects as indicated in Resolution R-2025-223;
2. Implementing the Urgent Interim Stormwater Capital Improvements projects as indicated in Resolution R-2025-223;
3. The Stormwater projects renewal and replacement projects indicated in the projects as indicated in Resolution R-2025-223;
4. Assisting the Department staff in all aspects related to the implementation of drainage capital improvements projects Citywide;
5. Assisting the Department staff by evaluating potential drainage projects due to drainage complaints;
6. Coordinating projects with the Florida Department of Transportation and other agencies having jurisdiction;
