Explanation:

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (“PRCA”) applied for and was awarded the State of Florida, Department of Environmental Protection Division of State Lands, 2022-2023 Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program Grant in the amount of $50,000.00.

 

PRCA would like to accept these funds to facilitate improvements at Poinciana Park to include the addition of a park pavilion, park furniture and pathway creation and resurfacing.

 

Fiscal Impact:

Grant funding in the amount of $50,000.00 will appropriated in the FY 2023 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Plan for Poinciana Park as detailed in Exhibit 1.  No matching funds are required for this grant.
