Staff Recommends: Approval of attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

The City has established a State Housing Initiative Partnership (“SHIP”) Local Housing Assistance Plan (“LHAP”) pursuant to Chapter 160, of the City Code of Ordinances.

 

The SHIP LHAP was created to support owner-occupied housing rehabilitation, demolition and reconstruction, disaster repair, tenant-based rental assistance and eviction prevention, acquisition, disaster recovery assistance, new construction, purchase assistance and program administration.

 

The City desires to make Technical Revisions to the SHIP LHAP for the State of Florida Fiscal Years 2022-2023, 2023-2024, and 2024-2025, in order to recognize 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023, and 2023-2024 Program Income.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

Funding will be made available in the Fiscal Year 2024 Operating Budget as detailed in Exhibit “1”, subject to approval of this Resolution.
