Staff Recommends: Presentation of Award
Explanation:
The Fire Rescue and Beach Safety Department is honored to present the following Citizens Lifesaving Award to:
Frank Bradac
and
Bo Bradac
On October 16, 2015 at approximately 1300 hours, Mr. Irel Broche was walking across 441 and Sheridan Street when he was struck by a car traveling north bound on 441. The force of the impact caused Mr. Broche to be drug approximately 15 feet and he ended up being pinned under the rear tire of the vehicle that struck him. Witnessing the event and taking quick and purposeful action, father and son, Frank Bradac and Bo Bradac used the flatbed tow truck that they were driving to lift the vehicle off of Mr. Broche, thereby removing the crushing weight of the vehicle and enabling rescue crew’s easy, quick, unencumbered access to the patient. The speedy and measured actions by Frank and Bo Bradac undoubtedly aided in saving Mr. Broche’s life that day. Both Frank and Bo Bradac are residents of Hollywood and own and operate Bad Boys Towing.
