Explanation:

The resolution amends Resolution No. R-2017-217 to expand paid parking throughout Downtown Hollywood, eliminate existing time-limited public parking in favor of a more consistent paid parking model. The amendment also introduces a discounted parking rate for City of Hollywood residents in the downtown parking area and updates the parking meter rates and permit fees to reflect current operational needs and market conditions. These changes aim to improve parking availability, promote turnover, and support the continued growth and accessibility of Downtown Hollywood.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

The proposed changes to the parking rates are expected to generate additional revenue for the city.
