Explanation:
The Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (SRWWTP) is a 55.5 million gallon per day wastewater treatment facility that serves six large users, including the City of Hallandale Beach. One of the City of Hallandale Beach's sewer flow connections is through the large user meter LUM-07, which connects to the existing 8- and 10-inch force main that runs along South 19th Avenue, Plunket Street and South 15th Avenue. This capacity of LUM-07 and the force main are inadequate to meet the current and future sewer flowrate from the City of Hallandale Beach and therefore needs to be upsized.
On March 6, 2019, pursuant to Resolution R-2019-039, the City Commission authorized the execution of an Authorization to Proceed for Work Order TTH 19-01 with Tetra Tech, Inc. ("Tetra"), in the amount of $147,917.00, to provide professional engineering services for the design, permitting and bidding services for the Replacement of the Hallandale Beach Force Main and Large User Meter LUM-07 project.
