Explanation:
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts partnered with Public Affairs to create a video highlighting the importance of water safety for young children and to promote the programs offered at the Driftwood Pool.
Driftwood Pool currently offers recreational swim, learn-to-swim, competitive swim, water fitness and professional training programs.
Florida is surrounded by water and loses more children under the age of 5 to drowning than any other state.
The COH MOST (Maximizing Out of School Time) Summer camps (totaling 450 youth) all participated in the Swim Central program on a weekly basis throughout the summer.
The COH has partnered with Water Smart Broward, Children’s Services Council and Swims Foundation to offer swim lessons at discounted rates at the Driftwood Pool.
