Explanation:
The purpose of the Sustainability Advisory Committee is to make recommendations to the City Commission to develop environmental goals and implementation plans, create educational campaigns, and promote Hollywood’s accomplishments.
There are fifteen positions. The current Committee members are Sara Adler, Anthony Aiello, Joanna Berens, Vyacheslav Cherkasov, Tara Jafarmadar, Alec Manasse, Michael Naim, Liliana Pacelli, Graham Penn, Julia Poliadis, and Jade Vinet.
Due to the resignation of Business Member Todd Delmay and the resignations of Citywide Members Tera Faso and Stephen Wechsler whose terms expire in 2024, the removal of Youth Alternate Member David Liebowitz whose term expires in 2024, the expiring term of Building Association of South Florida Member Graham Penn, the expiring terms of Citywide members Joanna Berens, Vyacheslav Cherkasov, Tara Jafarmadar, Julia Poliadis, and Jade Vinet, the expiring term of Youth Member Sara Adler, and the expiring term of Youth Alternate Member Alec Manasse, there is one Building Association of South Florida Member vacancy, one Business Member vacancy, seven Citywide Member vacancies, one Youth Member vacancy, and two Youth Alternate Member vacancies.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this resolution will not fiscally impact the City as this is a proposal to appoint board members.
