Explanation:
The Young Circle ArtsPark Advisory Board ("AAB") was created in 2006 by Resolution No. R-2006-412 and revised by Resolution Nos. R-2007-48 and R-2013-199, which changed the composition of the AAB to nine voting members, with two non-voting appointed representatives and two non-voting ex-officio members.
The two non-voting appointed representatives include one from Broward County Cultural Affairs Division and one from the Broward County Cultural Affairs Council, and the two non-voting ex-officio members are the City Manager appointee and the ArtsPark Foundation appointee.
There are currently nine voting members who serve in the following categories: (1) Visual Arts Field; (2) Performing Arts Field; (1) Extensive Art & Culture Background - Hollywood Resident; (1) Arts Community At Large; (1) Broward County School System; and (3) Citizen-at-Large - Hollywood Residents.
Board members are appointed based upon their interest in the arts and culture and backgrounds in the categories of visual arts, performing arts, tourism, arts community-at-large, education, and a resident with extensive art and culture background.
