Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached Resolution.

 

Explanation:

The Department of Public Utilities (“Department”) owns, operates, and maintains 10 stormwater pump stations.  These stations are an important part of the stormwater maintenance system used to help manage storm flows in areas that have been found to be especially prone to flooding.

 

The Department applied for and was awarded federal grant funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”) through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (“HMGP”) for installation of an electrical power generator at Stormwater Pump Station SW-08.

 

This agenda item seeks approval of execution of the attached Amended Permanent Easement to accommodate the installation of an electrical power generator at Stormwater Pump Station SW-08.

 

Department of Public Utilities staff will manage this project.  No additional staff is needed as a result of this project.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

Approval of this Resolution will not fiscally impact the City.
