Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached Resolution.

Explanation:

The City approved the award of the Broward County Cultural Division Cultural and Artistic Facilities Capital Grant (“CAFC”) in the amount of $500,000.000 for renovation of Hollywood Art and Culture Center building.

The City seeks to amend the CAFC Agreement award period for an additional six months from December 31, 2024 to June 30, 2025 to meet the construction completion timeline.

The Directors of the Departments of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts and Design Construction Management recommends the City Commission execute the attached Amendment.

Fiscal Impact:

Approval of this resolution will not fiscally impact the City as this is a proposal to revise the CAFC Agreement project timeline and budget to reflect current project timeline and City Commission approved project budget under R-2024-058.
