Explanation:
National Arbor Day is celebrated every year in April to recognize all the wonderful contributions trees bring to our daily lives. Some of these contributions include the reduction of erosion, cutting heating and cooling costs, production of oxygen, and providing habitat for wildlife. In conjunction with the National Arbor Day celebration, which celebrates its 150th Anniversary in 2022, the Southern Live Oak tree planting is scheduled for Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 10:00 AM, at Mara Berman Giulianti Park. Mara Berman Giulianti Park is located at 4151 N. Hills Drive in the Emerald Hills Neighborhood.
The proclamation will be accepted by Kevin Osteen, on behalf of A Perfect Edge, who will be installing the tree for the City.
The proclamation will be presented on April 20, 2022, City Commission Meeting.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this Proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
