Explanation:
In a City of Hollywood special election held on March 12, 2019, voters approved a variety of projects to be funded by a General Obligation Bond. The Department of Design and Construction Management has been tasked with replacing the Hollywood Police Headquarters Building, which was approved by the voters as one of the projects to be funded by the General Obligation Bond.
On February 3, 2021, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2021-031, ranking Construction Manager at Risk firms selected under Request for Qualifications RFQ-4642-20-DCM, and authorizing the appropriate City officials to negotiate an agreement with the highest-ranked firm, Moss and Associates, LLC.
The project scope for Phase I Pre-Construction Services includes attendance at all project meetings; preparation of a project schedule with monthly updates; preparation of a monthly report including cost controls, work status, schedules, and permit coordination; preparation of detailed construction cost estimates for four design submittals at a minimum; value engineering and constructability recommendations; review of all design documents and contract documents; outreach programs to M/WBE, SBE, and local firms; preparation of the Guaranteed Maximum Price for construction; and all tasks required in the Bidding and Award Phase. The detailed project scope is set forth in the Phase I Pre-Construction Services proposal from Moss and Associates, LLC., attached as Exhibit "A".
