Explanation:
The City owns, operates and maintains 83 sanitary sewer lift stations which collect and convey wastewater to the Hollywood Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. These sewer lift stations require miscellaneous rehabilitation, repair and replacement work on an as-needed basis.
Similar construction services were competitively bid by the City of Boca Raton, pursuant to Bid Number 2018-049 - Lift Station Rehabilitation and Repair on July 18, 2018. The City of Boca Raton awarded Bid Number 2018-049 - Lift Station Rehabilitation and Repair to Intercounty Engineering, Inc. and the bid is valid from September 24, 2018 through October 24, 2020.
Intercounty Engineering, Inc. has agreed to extend the same pricing as outlined in City of Boca Raton Bid Number 2018-049 to the City. The Director of Public Utilities and the Director of Procurement and Contract Compliance recommend that the City Commission approve the issuance of the attached blank purchase order to Intercounty Engineering, Inc. for the Miscellaneous Lift Stations Rehabilitation, Repair and Replacement.
