Explanation:

On December 7, 2022, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2022-366, approving a Blanket Purchase Agreement in an amount up to $981,200.00 with Brenntag Mid-South, Inc., for the supply and delivery of one-ton cylinders of Liquid Chlorine for the first year of an initial two-year term from December 7, 2022 through December 31, 2023.

 

The Department of Public Utilities would like to utilize the second year of the initial two-year agreement of Blanket Purchase Agreement (“BPA”) PA600617 in an annual amount of up to $1,007,200.00 over the period of January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024.

 

The Director of Public Utilities recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the second year of the initial two-year agreement of BPA PA600617 with Brenntag Mid-south, Inc., in an annual amount up to $1,007,200.00.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

A portion of the funding for the renewal of the BPA is available  in the FY 2024 Operating Budget in account number 442.400601.53600.552330.000000.000.000, and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years’ operating budgets subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
