Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities ("Department") desires to procure Plumbing Services for repair, upgrades, and ongoing corrective maintenance work at the Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant ("SRWWTP") Dewatering and Stabilization process Buildings.

The requested plumbing services entail repairing the floor drains of two major solids processing sites at the SRWWTP. The drain heads and grates have become damaged allowing sediments and rocks to fall into the pipes, causing clogs and slowing process water flow out of these areas. This results in localized flooding inside the building, which is a health and safety concern.

The plumbing services include the replacement and size increase of the drain heads from a 4-inch to 6-inch, the replacement of the drain grates and pipes, the clearing or replacement of impacted lines, and upgrades to attached portions of the sewer system to comply with the current Code of Ordinances. The vendor will also provide any repairs, cleaning, and upgrades as required as work progresses within the limits of the contract.

On January 8, 2025, Invitation for Bid IFB-269-25-JJ (IFB) was electronically advertised on OpenGov.com. One proposal from JCR Mechanical Contractor ("JCR") was received and awarded to JCR.
