Explanation:
The City of Hollywood seeks to complete the Citywide sidewalk network to improve pedestrian safety and alternative modes of transportation. Grant funding for new sidewalk construction can be secured under the Broward County Planning Organization Complete Streets and other Localized Initiatives program.

On November 1, 2017, the City Commission approved Resolution R-2017-323, supporting the Complete Streets and other Localized Initiatives Program ("CSLIP") grant application to the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization ("MPO") for the for the design costs related to the Hollywood Beach Heights and Hollywood Country Estates Sidewalk Project.

On January 22, 2019, the Broward MPO issued an award letter for the project, which was included in the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") five-year work program for construction in FY-2024.

The FDOT and the City executed a LAP Agreement to reimburse the City for the design costs related to the Hollywood Beach Heights and Hollywood Country Estates Sidewalk Project, up to a maximum of $666,290.00.

On December 7, 2022, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2022-354, approving the execution of a Professional Services Agreement for Engineering Design Services with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $427,339.00.
