Explanation:
Homelessness knows no age, sex, creed, or race, and does not discriminate. Since 1999, the TaskForce Fore Ending Homelessness, Inc. has served the homeless population of Broward County. The purpose of the proclamation is to educate the public about the many reasons why people are homeless including the shortage of affordable housing in Broward County.
The proclamation will be accepted by Mikal Cartier, CEO, Jacob Torner, Vice President of Programs, Gaelle Nelson, Director of Outreach Services, and Deanna Dolan, Director of Development.
Fiscal Impact:
Presentation of this proclamation will not fiscally impact the City of Hollywood.
