Explanation:
The ordinance amends Chapter 36 of the City of Hollywood Code of Ordinances to authorize Special Magistrates to issue one-time fines of up to $15,000.00, an increase from the current maximum of $5,000.00. The ordinance also excludes such fines from being mitigated.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this ordinance may generate additional revenue for the City. This initiative will use current resources and staffing, with no additional cost to the City.
