Explanation:

The Police Department requires essential uniform supplies to equip police personnel. The Police Department solicited three quotes from Galls, LLC, GT Distributors, Inc., and Lou’s Police Distributors and received three responses. Galls, Inc. provided the lowest quote for police equipment.

The Police Department has an existing BPA in the amount of $250,000.00 with Galls, LLC for uniforms only. This Blanket Purchase Agreement to Galls, LLC is to outfit police personnel with equipment and supplies in the amount up to $135,000.00 over a three-year period, with the option to renew the BPA for two additional one-year periods. Therefore, Commission approval is required as the combined purchases will exceed the procurement threshold of $100,000.00.

Fiscal Impact:

A portion of the funding for the Blanket Purchase Agreement is available in account number 001.204105.52100.552420.000000.000.000, and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years’ operating budgets subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
