SECOND READING:
The ordinance amends 98.011(A) to refer to the low water line, rather than high. Section 98.011(B) was amended to require a Florida approved diver down flag when engaging in diving activities 150 feet (50 yards) from the shore. Sections of the code were re-numbered.
FIRST READING:
The ordinance amends Chapter 98 of the Code of Ordinances to create a vessel exclusion zone 218 yards from the shoreline. The draft language was approved by Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.
Fiscal Impact:
This initiative will use current resources and staffing, with no additional cost to the City.
