Explanation:
The Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") has the need to hire an established company with experience in stormwater infrastructure maintenance and rehabilitation, with abilities to conduct sewer storm video inspections, cleaning, infiltration studies, system efficiency evaluations, also manhole and pipeline rehabilitation work.
The Beach CRA boundaries (Hallandale Beach Boulevard to Sherman Street) has 22 basins, 8 of them were inspected in 2024 and 4 basins will be upgraded as part of the new pump installation.
CRA began basin inspection and conditions evaluation on May 2024, where a total of 7 basins have been evaluated by the CRA and one basin has been evaluated by the Florida Department of Transportation. Due to time limitations, it was determined that it is in the CRA's best interest to use piggyback as the procurement method.
Staff researched other municipalities procurement records and found that the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has a Request for Proposals Invitation to Bid No. 12520-813 on June 30, 2021 and entered into a contract with EnviroWaste Services Group, Inc.("EnviroWaste") on November 29, 2021.
