Explanation:
The Department of Public Works requires an agreement for emergency disaster debris monitoring services because accurate oversight of debris management is an integral component to maximize federal reimbursement.

The emergency disaster debris monitoring services being sought include assistance in the preparing for a disaster, providing oversight of temporary debris management sites, providing oversight for road clearance and debris loading, providing field oversight functions and facilitating communications with various federal and State agencies in the disaster recovery process.

These services were competitively bid by the City of Fort Lauderdale through solicitation number 12527-825 on February 8, 2022, and awarded to Thompson Consulting Services, LLC, for the term beginning March 7, 2022, through March 6, 2025, with two additional one-year renewals. Thompson Consulting Services has agreed to extend to the City the same pricing under the terms and conditions set forth in the agreement awarded to the City of Fort Lauderdale.

This emergency disaster debris monitoring contract will only be utilized with emergency disaster clean up and contracted services will be acquired for a three-year period through March 6, 2025, for an amount of $3,500,000.00.

Fiscal Impact:
If needed, funding for this agreement will be made available in Fund 168 Emergency Disaster Relief Trust Fund Accounts.
