Explanation:
On June 7, 2023, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2023-149, approving an agreement with the City and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity for $760,335.00 to provide laptops and network wiring to low- and moderate-income (“LMI”) community centers and homeless services. The Miami Rescue Mission, Inc. D/B/A Broward Outreach Centers possesses the requisite skills, staffing infrastructure and experience to provide a range of services, including emergency shelter, case management, job training, education, and health care to help those who are experiencing homelessness. The City desires to retain the services of The Miami Rescue Mission, Inc. D/B/A Broward Outreach Centers in the amount of $390,000.00 pursuant to Section 38.41(C)(9) of the Procurement Code (Best Interest).
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this agreement is available in the FY 2023 operating budget in account number 115.160101.55400.584660.001533.000.000.
