Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached Resolution.

Explanation:

The Department of Public Utilities (“Department”) needs two portable Godwin pumps and two temporary 6’ x 12’ road ramps.  The chosen pumps are sound-attenuated (quiet) pumps with an FT4 Isuzu engine, to be used in multiple locations throughout the City as needed to help manage stormwater flows.  These units will also be used to assist with various water and sewer projects.

The desired pumps and ramps were competitively bid by The Florida Sheriffs Association through FSA23-EQU21.0 on May 5, 2023, and awarded to Xylem Dewatering Solutions USA, Inc. (“Xylem”) under contract FSA23-EQU21.0.

The current term of contract FSA23-EQU21.0 is from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2025.  Xylem has agreed to extend to the City the same pricing, terms, and conditions as those in FSA23-EQU21.0.

The pumps and ramps will be acquired over a one year period.

The Department Director and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission approve and authorize the issuance of a Purchase Order to Xylem for two portable pumps and two temporary road ramps in an amount up to $141,747.32.

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for this purchase is available in the FY 2025 Operating Budget in account numbers 442.400201.53600.564531.000000.000.000, 442.400202.53600.546310.000000.000.000, and 443.410101.53800.546310.000000.000.000.

No additional staff are needed as a result of this resolution.
