Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities Underground Division stormwater team desires to purchase five eight-inch diameter reduced to six-inch stormwater pumps, trailer mounted, to be used to prevent flooding in the City.
The desired pumps were competitively bid by the Florida Sheriffs Association, through SOLICITATION FSA23-EQU21.0 Heavy Equipment, on October 1, 2020, and awarded to BBA Pumps under CONTRACT FSA23-EQU21.0 Heavy Equipment.
The current term of CONTRACT FSA23-EQU21.0 Heavy Equipment is from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2025, with an option to renew the contract for an additional two-year period. PSI Technologies, Inc. is the sole authorized dealer of BBA Pumps in Broward County and has agreed to extend to the City the same pricing, under the terms and conditions, as set forth in CONTRACT FSA23-EQU21.0 Heavy Equipment
The Department of Public Utilities Director recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the appropriate City officials to issue the attached Purchase Order to PSI Technologies, Inc. in an amount of up to $369,936.20, for the purchase of five trailer-mounted BBA Pumps.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this Purchase Order is available in the FY 2024 Operating Budget in account number 443.410101.53800.564531.000000.000.
