Explanation:
On September 25, 2018, the desired services were competitively bid by the Town of Miami Lakes pursuant to ITB No. 2018-40, and the current term of the contract is from September 18, 2018, for three years with an option to renew the contract for an additional two one-year renewals, for the repair of sidewalk trip hazards. The Town of Miami Lakes subsequently entered into an agreement with Florida Sidewalk Solutions LLC for these services. The two one-year options have been renewed with a new expiration date of October 4, 2023.
On April 13, 2021, the Town of Miami Lakes awarded the bid to Florida Sidewalk Solutions LLC, and Florida Sidewalk Solutions LLC has agreed to extend to the City of Hollywood the same pricing under the terms and conditions set forth in the Town of Miami Lakes Bid and contract.
The Department of Public Works has the responsibility to maintain residential sidewalks throughout the City and eliminate damaged sidewalks as they are a potential liability. The City’s residential sidewalks are in need of maintenance and repair to eliminate trip hazards.
The Director of Public Works and the Director of the Office of Procurement and Contract Compliance recommend that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City officials to execute an agreement with Florida Sidewalk Solutions LLC, for the repair of sidewalk trip hazards through October 4, 2023 for an estimated expenditure of $152,493.25.

Funding for this service agreement is available in the FY 2023 Operating Budget account number 336.509901.54100.531170.000000.000.000.
