Explanation:
The Community Redevelopment Agency (“CRA”) desires to enter into an agreement with a firm to provide construction project implementation, project control oversight and owner’s representation for the Phase IV - Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities and Streetscape Beautification Project Number (BCRA 19-001).
The third-party consultant supervises deliverables, material quantities, evaluation of Contractor’s draw request, certification of construction, invoice deliverables and reimbursable documentation for FDOT’s Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation Project, and the State Resiliency Grant.
On October 4, 2023, the CRA passed and adopted Resolution No. R-CRA-2023-47 authorizing the appropriate CRA Officials to negotiate an Agreement with Basulto Management Consulting, Inc. (“BMC”).
BMC provided a proposal in an amount of $276,672.00 to provide project construction oversight and project control for Phase IV Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities and Streetscape Beautification Project, which staff has determined to be fair and reasonable and in accordance with industry standards.
Staff recommends accepting the proposal and issuing an ATP for the consulting fees.

Funding for these expenditures has been appropriated and exists in account number(s) 163.639901.552.563010.001235.000.000 (Underground Ph 4 - East/West Streets) and 163.639901.552.563010.001236.000.000 (Underground Ph 4 - A1A South).
