Explanation:
Due to scheduling difficulties, various Commission meetings will be changed to allow greater flexibility to the Commission, staff and residents.
The first regular Commission Meeting on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, shall have citizens’ comments at 5:00 PM.
The second regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, shall be rescheduled to Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 1:00 PM with citizens’ comments at 5:00 PM. By moving the meetings during the summer it will allow the Commission, staff and residents more time for preparing the next fiscal year’s budget.
The first regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, shall be rescheduled to Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 1:00 PM, due to Yom Kippur.
The second regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, shall be rescheduled to Wednesday, November 30, 2022, starting at 11:00 AM, with citizens’ comments at 5:00 PM due to the Swearing-In Ceremony of the newly elected officials.
The first regular Commission Meeting on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, shall have citizens’ comments at 5:00 PM.
The second regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, shall be cancelled.
The first regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, January 5, 2023, shall be cancelled.
By canceling the December and January meetings will allow the Commission, staff and residents more flexibility in preparing items during the holiday season.
Thereafter, regular meetings of the City Commission shall, unless otherwise provided by Resolution, be held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this Resolution will not fiscally impact the City.
