Explanation:

The Fleet Management Division of the Department of Public Works requires the purchase of unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel delivered to the Central Fueling Facility for City vehicles and equipment. 

 

The Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department requires the purchase of red dye diesel fuel and recreational unleaded 90 octane for the City Marina, for resale to the general boating public.

 

Section 38.47 of the City's Purchasing Ordinance authorizes the Chief Procurement Officer to join with other governmental entities in cooperative purchasing plans when it is in the best interest of the City.

 

The City of Hollywood participated, along with various other governmental entities, in cooperative Request for Proposal (RFP) Number RFP E-03-22 for unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel, processed by the City of Pompano Beach acting as the lead agency for the Southeast Florida Governmental Purchasing Cooperative.

 

On February 24, 2022, the City of Pompano Beach City Commission awarded RFP E-03-22 to Port Consolidated, Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for an initial five-year contract term, with one five-year renewal option.

 

The Director of Public Works recommends that the City Commission approve the issuance of the attached blanket purchase agreement to Port Consolidated, Inc., for the purchase of unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel delivered by transport and tank wagon, for an initial term ending March 14, 2027, for an estimated annual expenditure of $2,500,000.00.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for this agreement is available in the FY 2022 Operating Budget in the following accounts 557.510101.51900.552110.000000.000.000 (Public Works), 442.400601.53600.552110.000000.000.000 and 442.400602.53600.552110.000000.000.000 (Waste Water Plant), 001.300301.57500.552110.000000.000.000 (Parks and Recreation), 001.215101.52200.552110.000000.000.000 (Fire) and 557.510101.51900.552610.000000.000.000 (Police), and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years.
