Explanation:
The Department of Development Services has a need for professional consulting and project management services to assist in large-scale development projects. Over the next five years, the anticipated influx of these projects necessitates staff augmentation to keep pace with the growing demand. Specifically, our Building and Planning Divisions will require tailored workforce solutions that align with the needs of the community.
With more large-scale projects coming into Hollywood, such as the Memorial Hospital Expansion Project, the Department of Development Services needs to augment its staff by providing more subject matter experts through PointTech Business Solutions LLC d/b/a OnPointe Government Solutions, LLC (“OnPointe”). OnPointe’s comprehensive suite of professional services focuses on customer experience and process improvement. The Department recommends contracting the services of OnPointe under the “Best Interest” provision of the Code.
OnPointe is currently engaged with the City on a smaller scale by providing project management services and plan review for Zoning Division. Direct engagement with OnPointe ensures customized solutions for each Division’s unique requirements. This combined value of expertise and flexibility makes this agreement equally valuable and beneficial to our City.
The proposed Agreement will provide Consultant budgets per Division up to the following amounts:
Planning and Zoning $160,000.00
Building $250,000.00
The term of the agreement is for one year with four optional one-year renewals, at the option of the City.
Fiscal Impact:
A portion of the funding for this agreement is available in the FY 2025 Operating Budget in account numbers 114.140301.52400.531170.000000.000.000 and 001.140401.51500.531170.000000.000 and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
