Explanation:
This Resolution places on the November 3, 2026 General Election ballot a referendum to authorize (i) the sale, lease, or other disposition of certain City-owned real property located at 400 Entrada Drive and 3250 Hollywood Boulevard, currently the site of the old Hollywood Police Headquarters, parking lots and a remnant portion of the former driving range associated with the Orangebrook Golf and Country Club, as more particularly described in Exhibit B to the Resolution; and (ii) the modification of the deed restriction to partially terminate it solely as to said Property, with the deed restrictions otherwise remaining in effect as to the remainder of the Orangebrook Golf and Country Club.
Sections 30.20 and 30.21 of the Code of Ordinances provide that any city-owned real property which is a golf course or another recreational facility, which the City proposes to sell, lease, or otherwise dispose of, must be approved by a majority vote of the City’s electors voting on such proposal. By its terms, the deed restriction may be terminated only upon approval by a majority of the City’s electors voting on such proposal.
