Explanation:
The Hollywood Art and Culture Center, Inc. (HACC) has the capability of providing cultural services to the public through its visual arts, performing arts and educational programming.
HACC has been providing cultural services and has been a recipient of previous appropriations for such services.
FY2014 funding assisted in supporting eight education programs that provided 64 unique curriculum-based activities for all ages, including 14 sessions of Summer Arts Camp for ages 5-18; eight exhibitions in the Student Gallery; and five shows in the free Family Performance Series.
The City of Hollywood is desirous of entering into a new agreement with HACC to provide said services for fiscal year 2016.
Funding for the programming services has been appropriated and exists in Account No. 01.3167.00000.572.003117; and
In addition to this grant, HACC provides services for the City by coordinating and managing the cultural arts programming services at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center for which it receives $148,000.00.
