Bid Number F-4551-17-PB was created and posted in BidSync on March 23rd, 2017 for Armed and Unarmed Security Services for an initial term of two (2) years (11/1/2017 through 10/31/2019) with three (3) one (1) year renewals.
Regions Security Services, Inc. was issued a Blanket Purchase Agreement to provide Armed and Unarmed Security Guard Services at City Hall, the Waste Water Treatment Plant, the City’s Parking Garages and the Marina.
City stakeholders have expressed shortcomings with the security services provided by Regions Security Services, Inc. during the initial term period starting 11/1/2017.
It is the recommendation of City stakeholders who have an interest in security services that the contract with Regions be terminated for convenience.
The contract with Regions Security Services, Inc. states that the City at any time, in its sole discretion, with or without cause, can terminate the contract by written notice to the contractor.
The Director of Procurement and Contract Compliance informed Regions Security Services, Inc. on 12/03/2018 that the recommendation to terminate the contract for convenience will be brought to the City Commission on 12/19/2018.
It is recommended that Regions Security Services, Inc. cease providing security services for the City at midnight on January 6, 2019.
Regions Security Services, Inc. will submit final invoices for services rendered.
Regions Security Services, Inc. currently provides security guard services to the City of Hollywood in a satisfactory manner.
