Explanation:

The Department of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts (“Department”) desires to purchase LED sports lighting for the Garfield Street Paddleball Courts and the David Park Tennis Center.

Both facilities lighting systems are at the end of their expected life, and in need of replacement; and the LED lighting upgrade will provide for a superior lighting output while decreasing electrical expenses.

The desired replacement sports lighting systems were competitively bid by Sourcewell through RFP No. 041123 for Sports Lighting Solutions with Related Technology, Equipment and Services on February 21, 2023, and awarded to Musco Sports Lighting, LLC., under Contract No. 041123.  Musco has agreed to extend to the City the same pricing under the terms and conditions set forth in the Contract.

The Director of the Department and Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission approve and authorize the issuance of a Purchase Order to Musco for sports lighting systems replacement over a two-year period from October 16, 2024, to October 15, 2026 in an amount up to $450,000.00.
