Explanation:
The City of Hollywood seeks a consultant pursuant to the Consultant’s Competitive Negotiation Act to provide services including a citywide climate change vulnerability assessment, prioritizing vulnerabilities, developing adaptation strategies, creating an adaptation plan, informing the public about risks and adaptation opportunities and building the capacity of the City to include climate change data in decision making.
On May 7, 2018, the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) was electronically advertised via BidSync. The RFQs were opened on June 7, 2018 and eight firms made submittals. On July 9, 2018 the Evaluation Committee met to review the submittals and four firms were selected for oral presentations and interviews.
The Evaluation Committee consisted of the Chief Civic Affairs Officer, the Deputy Director of Public Utilities, the Planning Manager in Development Services, the Deputy Director of the Hollywood CRA and a Board Member of the Lakes Civic Association.
Based on all the RFQ criteria the top three ranked firms were:
1. Hazen & Sawyer
2. Atkins
3. Arcadis
The Chief Civic Affairs Officer and the Interim Director of Development Services have recommended that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City officials to negotiate an agreement with the highest ranked firm to be considered by the Commission at a later date.
The initial term of the agreement would be for one year with the option to renew for one additional year.
