Explanation:
The Hollywood Beach Clubhouse/Community Center General Obligation Bond Project (“Project”) is now in the construction phase and requires power services to be provided. FPL has completed the design of the permanent power for the property and the underground of the primary runs. FPL has requested a 10’ by 10’ perpetual easement (“Easement”) for the proposed transformer on the City’s parcel.
The Easement is needed by FPL to construct and maintain the required electrical transmission and distribution equipment for the Project. Additionally, the Easement provides FPL the rights to reconstruct, inspect, alter, improve, enlarge, add to, change the voltage, modify physical characteristics, replace, remove, or relocate such facilities or any part of them within the agreed Easement.
The attached Exhibit “A” contains the sketch and legal descriptions of the specified location, and the attached Exhibit “1” is the required Easement Form, with the terms under which the City grants to FPL the right to install and maintain the equipment necessary for electrical transmission and distribution to the property.
The new golf course/clubhouse project is expected to be completed in early 2026.
