Explanation:
The Police Department, in collaboration with the Department of Public Works, requires autobody repair services for the City’s general fleet. The Police Department solicited comprehensive autobody repair service rates for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle categories. The Department reviewed nine responses, and four vendors were notified of the intent to award. The four vendors are ranked from lowest to highest overall costs of services in each group. The Police Department and the Department of Public Works seek approval for the award of vehicle repair services to National Collision and Truck Center, Gary’s Auto Body West, 3 Buddies Paint & Body d.b.a. Hollywood Collision Center, and Platinum Collision. The award to four vendors allows for city-wide usage, competitive service-based costs, and continuity of services.
Vendor responses were under evaluation concurrently with the execution of the accident repair amendment of the Enterprise agreement. The Police Department and the Department of Public Works determined that the solicitation remains useful for specialty vehicles and vehicle repairs in unique circumstances.
Fiscal Impact:
A portion of the funding for the Blanket Purchase Agreement is available in account numbers 001.204105.52100.546420.000000.000.000 and 557.510101.51900.546320.000000.000.000 and will be requested in subsequent fiscal years’ operating budgets, subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
This Blanket Purchase Agreement is for citywide usage and additional funding will be identified on an as needed basis by each respective department subject to available funds.
