Explanation:
The Department of Public Works (“Department”) desires to contract for City Holiday Décor and Lighting for the City’s Hollywood Boulevard corridor, Downtown District and Beach Broadwalk areas that serve as a major economic stimulus for the City, creates memorable experiences for residents and visitors, and promotes community spirit and pride; and
With this signed agreement, Brandano Displays, Inc. would create a festive environment, showcasing the commercial districts and corridors and act as a backdrop for photo ops, selfies, and video productions. Over the years, the holiday décor has created an environment for community members and visitors alike, to view and enjoy.
The City, through its Office of Procurement and Contract Compliance, published a Request for Proposals for holiday decoration services and this vendor submitted its proposal. On September 7, 2022, the CRA Board passed and adopted Resolution No. R-CRA-2022-40 authorizing a new one-year agreement with two one-year options to renew the Vendor for Holiday Decoration Services.
The Director of Public Works and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City officials to execute an agreement with Brandano Displays, Inc. to design, install, service, remove and store holiday decorations for the Community Redevelopment Agency (“CRA”) Beach and Downtown Districts for a period of one-year with the right to renew for one additional one-year period subject to vendor acceptance, satisfactory performance and the determination that renewal will be in the best interest of the City, for an estimated annual expenditure of $248,910.00.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for the Blanket Purchase Agreement is available in the FY 2026 Operating Budget in account number 001.500301.51900.531170.000000.000.000.
