Explanation:
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts desires to apply for the upcoming Florida Inland Navigation District (“FIND”) 2024 Waterways Assistance Program (“WAP”) grant to seek funding for Hollywood Marina Master Plan Phase 1- Fuel Pier project.
The Hollywood Marina is a full-service marina with rental slips, three launch ramps and fuel service. The grant would be utilized to fund the design, engineering and permitting of the Hollywood Marina Fuel Pier project.
The FIND WAP requires a 1 to 1 match equivalent to $137,000.00 from the grant recipient; the grant allows the use of State or Federal Grants to act as match.
Matching funds will be provided by the pending award of the Broward County Boating Improvement Program Grant.
Fiscal Impact:
If awarded, grant funding in the amount of $137,000.00 will be made available in the FY 2025 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Plan for the Hollywood Marina Master Plan Phase 1- Fuel Pier Project.
If the Broward County Boating Improvement Program Grant is not awarded, funding for the City’s proposed grant match in the amount of $137,000.00, will be made available in the FY 2025 Capital Improvement Plan in account number 334.309901.57200.563010.001589.000.000.
