Explanation:
The Police Department requires interface implementation services to enhance two existing software systems. This interface will connect dispatch call data to body-worn camera footage, improving operational effectiveness.
Motorola provides interface services that connect PremierOne and the Axon application system through the cloud. The resulting interface will package incident data from PremierOne Computer-Aided Dispatch and related Axon body-worn camera footage from officers associated with the event. This implementation is a complex, specialized service uniquely designed and proposed by Motorola Solutions, Inc., using existing software to deliver a connected data interface. As a result, the Chief of Police has determined that it is in the City’s best interest to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement in an amount up to $35,000.00 to Motorola Solutions, Inc. for the PremierOne Axon Interface.
Citywide purchases from Motorola, Inc., for fiscal year 2026 have exceeded the $100,000.00 procurement threshold. Therefore, the Police Department requests Commission approval to purchase PremierOne Axon Interface services from Motorola, Inc. The vendor estimated the 5-year cost of implementation and maintenance at $32,586.00. Due to the proposal’s unique features designed to meet the Police Department's needs, an additional $2,414.00 is planned as a contingency to cover unplanned implementation costs.
Fiscal Impact:
A portion of the funding for this agreement is available in the FY 2026 Operating Budget in account number 001.204001.52100.564420.001950.000.000 and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years’ operating budgets subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
