Explanation:

The Department of Public Works (“Department”) maintains security, fire alarm, fire suppression, and access control systems at City-owned facilities. Three City facilities currently remain under fire watch due to nonfunctioning fire alarm systems, posing a safety risk and diverting staffing resources. The City previously issued a $90,000.00 Purchase Order to Everon, LLC under City Manager Memo PR-26-227 to address the most urgent of these needs at Driftwood Community Center, Fire Station 31, and other City facilities.

The Department of Parking and Code Compliance and the Department of Information Technology have also identified the need for the Services to support safe parking garage operations, facility security, access control system maintenance, and operational continuity at City facilities

The requested services are available under Enterprise Alternate Contract Source No. 72101509-25-NASPO-ACS, established by the Florida Department of Management Services with Everon, LLC, based on Master Contract No. 99SWC-NV23-16866, competitively awarded by the State of Nevada as Lead State for NASPO ValuePoint.

The Department requests approval to execute a Master Services Agreement with Everon, LLC for the period October 7, 2026, through July 31, 2028, in an amount not to exceed $765,000.00 annually.

Fiscal Impact:

A portion of the funding for this agreement is available in the FY 2027 Operating Budget and is included in the amended FY 2027 Capital Improvement Plan in account numbers 001.500303.51900.531170.000000.000.000, 446.150201.54500.552240.000000.000.000, 446.150202.54500.552240.000000.000.000, 446.150203.54500.552240.000000.000.000, 446.150204.54500.552240.000000.000.000, 557.130101.51900.531170.000000.000.000, 334.139901.51900.564530.002016.000.000, 334.139901.52100.563010.000155.000.000 and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years’ subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
