Explanation:
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (“PRCA”) desires to purchase outdoor park furniture, furnishings, and sports equipment to replace existing weathered benches, picnic tables, receptacles, sports equipment, etc. across the City’s parks system.
On March 4, 2024, Interest for Bids Number IFB-178-24-GJ (“IFB”) was electronically advertised on OpenGov.com to solicit the desired outdoor park furniture, furnishings, and sports equipment in accordance with Section 38.43(A) of the Procurement Code.
Swartz Associates, Inc. and BSN Sports, LLC were determined to be the most responsive bidders offering the highest discount for each pricing table.
PRCA recommends that the City Commission authorize Blanket Purchase Agreements with Swartz Associates, Inc. for outdoor furniture and park site furnishing in an amount up to $400,000.00 annually; and BSN Sports, LLC for sports and recreation equipment in an amount up to $100,000 annually for an initial term of three years with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods, to provide outdoor park furniture, park site furnishings, and sports equipment.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for the Blanket Purchase Agreements was included in the amended FY 2025 Capital Improvement Plan and is available in account number 334.309901.57200.564530.001900.000.000.
